Recording

I had recorded a podcast last week and ended up not posting it.  I went on to explain the fiasco with the mics and eBay and mentioned that I wasn't sure if I was going to get around to recording the Christmas Concert that I had wanted to record.  As I expected, that did not happen.  But, it is possible that I could do some recording tomorrow night.  At least those are my intentions at this point.

Microphones

So, after ranting on the podcast about the great deal I found on the mics, I got somewhat burnt.  Right after I purchased them the guy e-mails me that he has to cancel the order because the mics "did not pass the bench test".  WTH?  Why would you not check something out BEFORE you post it for sale if you have any indications that they may not WORK!  He refunded the money to PayPal but then PayPal put a hold on the money.  I'll find out tonight if everything is legit and if I got my money back.  So, no microphones at a great price.  And, worse yet, probably no mics by Christmas week.  And thus, probably no recording Christmas week.  I specifically took a few days off from work to record.  Frustrated and leery about dealing with eBay now.  

Changes

OK, so the first major change is that I overhauled the website.  All for the better, I believe.  If you like it, send me a comment.  Second, I gave the working demo with 17 tracks out to 4 friends.  You can hear the same demo right here: demo I've received some feedback and my interpretation of the feedback is that more flatpicking would be appreciated.  So, I believe I'm going to work in a few flatpicking tunes.  Annie's Jig and Up Jumped Isaac are two that come to mind:  Annie's Jig And, could a Christmas Concert be recorded and posted?  Possibly...
